A young woman’s journey to Islam

I grew up in a fairly unstable home environment. We were upper-middle class, I was raised by nannies, Au Pairs, cleaning ladies, and all the opportunities I could have ever dreamed of. However, emotionally, it was lacking. My mother struggled with PTSD from her childhood, and my father didn’t know how to handle it. Add this with copious amounts of alcohol and I was surrounded by constant tension and fighting, which sometimes became violent. I was exposed to all of this at a very young age; I could even open a bottle of wine…
